International students and scholars may not have mail or packages sent to OIE, unless specifically requested for immigration purposes. Instead, all mail or packages should be sent through the GT post office.
The GT post office is located on the first floor of the Student Center. Through the Post Office, students can send and receive mail and packages, and buy postage stamps. The Post Office accepts Visa, Mastercard, Buzz Card, and cash for all purchases including postage and stamps. The Post Office accepts deliveries from the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) as well as United Postal Service (UPS), DHL, Federal Express (FedEx), and other carriers. All outgoing packages shipped from the Georgia Tech Post Office will be shipped using the U.S. Postal Service.
Packages are delivered to the Student Center, and you will receive an email notification when a package arrives for you. You must bring your Buzzcard (or other valid form of picture ID) and know your GT P.O. box number when you come to claim your package at the package pick-up window next to the post office. A second notification will be sent if you do not pick up your package within seven days of the first notice. Your package will be returned to the sender if it is not claimed within seven days of the second notice.
All mail and packages sent to students should use the following format:
3###### (box number) Georgia Tech Station
Atlanta, GA 30332
If you do not yet have a mailbox assignment (see below for instructions for getting a mailbox), use “Incoming new student, Georgia Tech Station” on the second line instead of the box number
Some package delivery services (such as UPS, DHL, and FedEx) do not deliver packages to PO Boxes. In this case, use the following address:
350 Ferst Drive
Box Number 3##### Georgia Tech Station
Atlanta, GA 30332-0450
