International Coffee Hour 
Sponsored by OIE and varying student organizations/campus departments. Free coffee, food, and a chance to meet new people from all over the world. Everyone is welcome. See the upcoming events tab for the next event. 

   

Global Jackets
GT student organization that promotes diversity and an increase in cross-cultural interaction. Search GT Global Jackets on Facebook or look them up on OrgSync, the GT student organization portal. 

I.E.W. (International Education Week) 
A week of events in mid-Nov to celebrate international education exchange at GT. Events vary year to year and are open to all. iew.gatech.edu 
   

Various GT Cultural Organizations 
There are many cultural organizations on GT’s campus from the Asian American Student Association to the Caribbean Student Association and everything in between. Check out the full list on OrgSync, the GT student organization portal. 

   

Study Abroad Peer Advisors
If you’ve returned from a study abroad program, and want to talk about your experience, consider applying to work with OIE. Applications accepted each fall semester. Email info@oie.gatech.edu if you have questions. 

 

GT 1000 
First-year students are highly encouraged to take a First-Year Seminar course. There are sections that focus specifically on aspects of global competency and one for international students who are adjusting to life at Georgia Tech. 

   I-House 
Looking for a neat place to live and get involved on campus? I-House is an on-campus residence option for students interested in promoting cultural exchange and awareness and exploring the global dynamics of politics, current events, economics and culture. http://www.ihouse.gatech.edu
 

ELI Conversation Partners 
A group hosted by the Language Institute at GT to promote language learning and cultural exchange. http://www.esl.gatech.edu/

 

Culture Fest 
A week of activities to promote diversity on Tech’s campus. Events include  the popular food fest each Spring on the Skiles Walkway. http://oie.gatech.edu/culturefest

 

OIE Photo Contest 
Held each fall semester, submissions are accepted in a variety of categories from both study abroad students and international students at Georgia Tech. http://www.oie.gatech.edu/photo-contest

 

Study Abroad Fair 
Interested in expanding your world view? GT has over 80 partner universities in over 30 countries, come find out which one you’ll study at. Held each year in October. http://www.oie.gatech.edu/study-abroad-fair

Africa-Atlanta 
A citywide year-long series of events highlighting Atlanta as a nexus for reinventing the cultural and economic bonds among Africa, Europe, and the Americas.  Events begin October 2013 and are held throughout 2014. http://africaatlanta.org/

German Day 
Events include Taste of Germany, Career Fair with companies based in Germany and a roundtable discussion, sponsored by OIE and the School of Modern Languages.
